Award-winning head chef Alex Thompson has put Rookery Bistro & Brasserie on the culinary map as one of the finest restaurants in Somerset.
Set in the beautiful gardens of 16th century Rookery Manor, this is a place where diners can enjoy exquisite food in a stylish yet informal setting.
Owner Ian Clapp, whose family has lived at the manor for four generations, converted a historic barn into the elegant conservatory restaurant that you see today.
Thanks to our head chef’s passion for fresh, local produce, this unique venue has been presented with an AA Recognition Award and a 5-star Food Hygiene Award.
For Alex, it has been the most exciting challenge in a career that has taken him from the VIP boxes at Manchester United FC to Shrigley Hall Golf & Country Club and finally to Rookery Manor.
His aim is to offer diners a superior culinary experience by presenting them with a menu of delicious lunch options in the Rookery Bistro and fine dining in the Rookery Brasserie.
