Charity of the year 2009
bibic is a national charity offering practical help to families caring for children with conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, development delay, traumatic and acquired brain injury and specific learning difficulties such as attention deficits hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia and dyspraxia.
Many of us take learning for granted. From birth we discover new skills and develop a fuller understanding of the world around us. For many children this process isn’t so easy. It can be difficult for them to make sense of the things that others take for granted. bibic exists to help these children reach their full potential and live a fulfilling and more rewarding life.
Ian Clapp, Managing Director; outlines why he chose bibic.
“I have chosen bibic because there are many of us living our lives with tunnel vision; choosing to ignore those that are different from what many of us consider; normal! I feel we need to open our eyes to the people around and teach those that have limited knowledge.
I want my staff and guests’ to embrace bibic to increase awareness and raise more money for such a worthwhile cause.”
We will be hosting a number of charity events in aid of bibic during the coming year. If you wish to continue to support bibic, please ask at Reception for a list of our forthcoming events, alternative please visit our website for details: www.rookery-manor.co.uk
Many thanks for your continued support.
Star 107.7 FM are proud to support bibic alongside Rookery Manor.
Rookery Manor News
The Beauty of Snow creates a truly magical Winter Wonderland.
Like most of England & Wales Rookery Manor awoke on Tuesday 3rd February 2009 to a picturesque view; the gardens, Island, and mendip hills were heavily dusted in powdery snow ~ a scene from any fairytale.
To wake up and gaze out from the Georgian Manor House, upon a sensational scene; has to be listed number one for spell bounding and memorable moments.
We wish to share with those that have not stayed or experienced the beauty of Rookery Manor; the scene set on a February winter morning ~ I am sure if you listened closely you could hear the elves, fairies and pixies dance softly in the snow.
For those of you planning a wedding, winter can be the most beautiful season around which to plan your special day. The winter season will never disappoint, we expect the rain, cold and damp weather conditions ~ so blue skies, crisp cold days and snowfall delight us all.
The winter wonderland wedding will prove nothing less than a world of wondrous enchantment on your special day.
